Rest & Recover - MOTHERHOOD is a comforting evening drink created to support you through pregnancy, postpartum and the everyday demands of motherhood.

Each serving provides 230 mg of elemental magnesium from gentle, and highly bioavailable magnesium glycinate, together with vitamin B6, zinc and vitamin C. We’ve also added Fibersol®-2, a well-tolerated prebiotic fibre that supports digestive health.

Benefits

Magnesium glycinate: Magnesium plays an important role in muscle and nervous-system function, energy production and electrolyte balance. All of which are especially relevant while your body adapts to pregnancy and recovers after birth.

Each serving provides 230 mg of elemental magnesium from magnesium glycinate, a gentle form that is generally well tolerated.

Fibersol®-2 soluble prebiotic fibre: Pregnancy, hormonal changes, iron supplements and the postpartum period can all make digestive and elimination regularity a little more challenging.

Fibersol®-2 is a gentle, soluble prebiotic fibre that supports digestive health and helps nourish beneficial bacteria in the gut. Each serving provides 2 g, making it an easy addition to your daily fibre intake.

Vitamin C: Supports immune function and helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It is also required for collagen formation, which supports the normal health of skin and connective tissue, particularly relevant as your body grows and recovers.

Vitamin C also improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods, while the body’s requirement for it increases during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Vitamin B6: Supports energy metabolism, nervous-system function and the regulation of hormonal activity. It also contributes to normal psychological function and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue, providing valuable support through pregnancy and the demanding postpartum months.

Zinc: Zinc is essential for normal cell division, protein synthesis and immune function, making adequate intake particularly important during periods of growth and recovery.

Zinc requirements increase during pregnancy to support maternal and fetal needs, and remain elevated during breastfeeding. It also contributes to the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails.

Do I choose sweetened/unsweetened?

We use a natural sweetener, stevia, in our Rest & Recover - Motherhood. This does taste different to the sweetness from sugar that you might be used to, so we launched the unsweetened version for those who don't particularly like stevia.

By choosing the unsweetened version, you have the option of adding a sweetener of your choice, whether it be maple syrup, agave, honey, sugar... whatever you fancy :)

How to use

You can enjoy Rest & Recover as a warm or a cold beverage.
Simply mix 2 teaspoons with hot/cold water, and add milk of your choice. Or if you're feeling extra indulgent, mix 2 heaped teaspoons in a mug filled with warm milk or non-dairy drink. Mmmmmm :)

Drink 30 minutes before bed for best results.

Rest and Recover is gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, vegan and keto friendly. We have tried to avoid any of the usual allergens, but please double check the ingredients to make sure this product is a good fit for you! :D

Why we created Rest & Recover Motherhood

For years, pregnant customers have asked us whether they could continue taking the original Rest & Recover.

The honest answer was that, while many of its ingredients are commonly used outside pregnancy, the original formula contains botanicals and other active ingredients that we weren’t comfortable broadly recommending during this uniquely sensitive season.

So, when our founder Holly became pregnant herself, we created the version we wished already existed.

Rest & Recover Motherhood keeps the comforting evening ritual people love, but uses a deliberately simplified combination of carefully selected nutrients. It was created for pregnancy, but designed to remain relevant long after pregnancy ends, through postpartum, breastfeeding and the many demanding seasons of motherhood.
